If you have problems with your visa, you should visit the immigration office, Mito branch. 1 or 1.5 hours from Tsukuba, depending on traffic. It takes only about 20~30 minutes from Tsukuba exit to Mito exit via the Joban(highway) once you get on the highway. After you do your immigration business, you can make a trip to the Pacific beaches (very clean), the aquarium, fish market and/or an outdoor spa with a view to the ocean.

It is not easy to find. Out of the Mito exit, stay on route 50(?) to the central station. The office is back of the station so that you have to go around over a bridge. Try to get there as early as possible. Many people there waiting to get visa. |

Fish are cheap. You can also buy
all kinds of sea food like King crabs, lobsters, clams. Go
there at dusk, they will give you a huge price cut. |

King crab. 4 of us ate these and Sushi and the total was around 5,000 yen. Sushi ranges from 80~315 yen a dish (2 or 6 sushi a dishes). |

Everybody wants something from the gods. My motto is "Don't bother God with details." |

A priest is blessing a new car. Very
religious. Is it going to work? |

A nice outdoor spa at Mito. If you are stressed, visit here and spend an afternoon and recharge yourself. You can bathe and enjoy the ocean view. |
