The end of Orient.  Land of Troy and Noah's Ark.  General Impression: Mosques are great, pleople are intense, maybe too intense.  Also, if you are an Asian or Caucasian, you will stand out in a crowd and people will try to help you or rip you off all the time.

View to the Sea of Marmara from the Korean guest house.

A Turkish breakfast with Turkish tea.

The Grand Bazaar.

You should negotiate to buy anything here. No price tags.  If they say 100 Turkish Lira, that means you can negotiate it down to 10 Lira.  If you want to buy a souvenior, go some place else. You WILL get ripped off here.

The Topkapi Palace, guarded by heavily armed policemen.

Harem in the Topkapi Palace.

A courtyard in the Harem.

Posing as a Sultan.

Another courtyard.

A Royal toilet.  Yes, even the Sultan had to do it himself.  But he wiped it off with the water from the golden faucet. That's is a big difference.

They wear uniforms in junior high and high schools, like in Korea and Japan. Their grammatical structures are identical also.

The fashion street on Taksim square, leading to Galata Tower.  It took me about an hour.

Grilled chestnuts on the street.  In Korea and Japan, you see the same street snack.

Corns too.  I am sure Korean, Japanese and Turkish had the same ancestor.

The Galata Tower.  You can get souvenir cheaper here than Grand Bazaar. But in the night, the surrounding area turns into a red light district.  Don't go there at night.

I don't read Turkish but it is obvious that Turkish hate Israel.

Fishers on the Galata bridge.

Mosques and the Turkish sky.

Mackerel Kebab.  Taste just like Korean mackerel(salted) except we eat with rice.

A Korean restaurant next to the Blue Mosque, run by Chinese-Korean. They will put 10% service charge on your bill anyway but I don't remember getting any service there.

The front gate of Hagia  Sofia Museum(AYASOFYA). It used to be a temple.

Yes, traces of Christianity.  You will find many of these here at AYASOFYA.

A Turkish lunch.  Taste good.  Also, the red paste on the right tastes just like red pepper paste in Korea.  I like it.

A fresh made orange juice.  Delicious.

Fish at the Egyptian Bazaar.  Things are cheaper here than the Grand Bazaar.

Trash disposal system of the apartment where I stayed.  In Korea, we had the same system 25 years ago but it turned out to be insanitary and don't have such system any longer.  The trash will drop to the grown if you throw it into the hole.

Not standardized trays are used in Turkey.  In Korea, these are all standardized in every marketing channels these days.
