This is the end of the western culture, where two cultures, civilizations or worlds collided, collide and will collide.

The flight to Athens leaves at Terminal 2 in CDG.

My first ride in Olympic Air.

The Korean guest house, Glyfada.  A little pricey but you get the service that is worth.  I strongly recommend you to stay here if you can get a room.

The ceiling is high.  Very pleasant.  Also, breakfast and dinners are included.  Really delicious.

You can use a pool and spa outside.

The building is clean and safe.  Neighborhoods are not that bad.

Well, Greece is not that fertile.  Very dry.

A Tram to Athens' downtown.

My first sunset of Aegean sea.

These plus rice, soup and bul-go-ki(marinated and grilled beef) for dinner. Yummy....

Well, I don't know how they did it for the Olympic 2006 with this traffic jam.

At the rest area.

Resting.

Ancient Epidaurus.  The acoustic here is perfect.  You clap at the center of it, you can hear it on the top of the theater.

The ancient statue and me.

The Lion's gate.

On the top of the ruins.  Will it survive another millennium?

Treasure of Atretus.  Alas, our life is so short.

Hydraiki Naval Company offers many cruises.  I took the one day cruise (3 islands; Poros, Hydra and Aegina).

On Poros.

Windmill on the hill top.

Narrow and steep stairs.  I see a Aegean blue door.

The Aphaia Temple.  You can take an optional bus tour (stayed in this island, Aegina for two hours) but I walked to this temple.  It took me about 25 minutes.

Where is the roof?  I always wondered.

If you walk toward the up-hill road, you will see this sign.  Then it will take about 20 minutes to the top.

On the way back to Athens.

The Agean water is clear.  I wish I had more time to stay there.

Looking relaxed.  What a day...

Temple of Jeus.

At the modern Olympic stadium.

To Acropolis!

Crowd worshiping Parthenon. Also the Ancient Agora.

View to Athens from Acropolis.

The Parthenon.

Who will remember me?

Theatre of Dionysos.  Acoustically perfect.

Tired, pumpkin?

I had a major problem to find this bus stop bound for the Temple of Poseidon in the Cape Sunion. It takes abut two hours to get to the cape.

The bus stop is on the street at south-east corner of the Santagma square, facing the Congress building.

The most impressive pile of stones, the Temple of Poseidon.  The temple itself is rather usual but the view from the temple is absolutely beautiful.

The deep blue Agean sea.

Beaches and ports view from the Cape Sunion.

In a big city like Athens, you will see this.  The difference is, in Athens, you see these signs on the main street, not on a back alley. Also, the show begins around 11:00 pm.  I would rather stay in my motel.

A Greek McDonald's.
