Parkway to Jusco (discount grocery/appliance shop, south of the university). View to south. |
Tsukuba Expo Building (on the way to Jusco). In-sa-dong, a Korean restaurant, is in a commercial complex of the opposite side. |
Monster fish (carps) at the Expo park. They will cut your fingers off and eat them. Be careful. Just kidding. ;) |
Central area of Tsukuba City near the station.
View to West. JoYo Bank and other business related offices are located
around here. |
A Concert/Exhibition Hall. Pity that I can't find
a cello teacher because U of Tsukuba doesn't have a music school. |
Tsukuba Bus/Rail Station (45 minutes from Akihabara, Tokyo to Tsukuba by TX, Tsukuba Express). |

You check where to go and the fare here. |
Pay the fare and get the ticket. You are ready to go now. |
When you have this sticker, don't park
your bike there. I got the ticket one night and parked there again
next morning when I went to Tokyo. When I got back, my bike has been confiscated.

Most Expensive Mansion in Tsukuba (An apartment is lower than 3 story building in Japan. Higher than 4 story buildings are called Mansion in Japan, which is opposite to Korea). One of the department faculties lives here at the corner unit. |
You are xxcked when you see this. You need your registered seal(stamp, the cheapest one will cost you about 2,000 yen to make one), 1000 yen of fine, bike registration to get it back. |

Nova Hall for performances. The
Tuskuba University Orchestra has concert here twice a year. In
2006, it is held on May 20. |
From the Tsukuba center. The middle gray building is the NTT(Nippon Telegraph and Telephone) building. Next to right(red building, across the street) is the central police station. If you magnify the picture, you will be able to see the golden Sakura, which represent a police station. When you buy a car, you need a certificate to prove you have a parking space available. You can apply here for it. It take at least 3 days. Also, to the left is the Gakuen post office(over the trees). |
If the postman misses you at your residence, they will leave a note to say pick the mail yourself or arrange a pickup time or place. You need to bring an ID. |
Tsukuba center yard. To the right is
the way to the station and to left is the department store, Seibu
and Jusco, a grocery store. |
Also, there is Q't, which is more like a shopping mall. If you want a major shopping mall, you want to go to LA-LA Garden. It takes about 20 minutes from the center by bike. |
From the Matsu-mi Park(áæ̸Íëê®;
Matsu-mi gouen). So peacefull. |
