One of 20 Korean restaurants in Tsukuba is In-sa-dong, near by the dorm(to south) and in the Expo park.

Front Door of In-sa-dong. Cleanest of all. Recently renovated..

Inside of In-sa-dong (about 30 seats). Koryo (another Korean restaurant) is much bigger and has 60 seats.  Man-na (5 minutes walk from the dorm) is almost the same size of 20 seats.  Prices range 800~1000 yen for lunch.  Hang-ah-ri is bigger and cleaner but more expensive.  It is also far from the campus.

Lunches range from 800~1000 yen at In-sa-dong.  These are lunch menus.  They have all basic dishes such as Sam-gyup-sal and So-ju for dinner. 3000~4000 yen for these dinner menus.  Also, Man-na serves Kim-bab (Korean Maki roll) and Ja-Jang-Myun(a noodle with Chinese style Black bean sauce) as well.

Another Korean restaurant. Taste of Korea, second floor.  Never tried but it is on the way to the dentist.

Gourmet pastry shop "Peterpan(I think it reads as Peterpan...)." You buy a pastry or bread here then you can drink unlimited coffee and tea here in the shop. It is located in a secluded area but you can find it.  You drive

Inside of Peterpan.  Most of the pastries are already gone.  Left ones are not Japanese favorites (hard ones like baguette and bagels) at 18:00.  They were closing already.

Coffee and Tea.  Feel free to drink!

A map to Peterpan.  I am not sure if it is the second avenue or the third.  You will be able to figure it out.

Dono Dono, a Pizza and Pasta restaurant in front of the Botanical Garden on Hi-Ga-Shi-O-Do-Ri(East Main Street). About 1000 yen for a thin pizza.  It is big enough to serve one person.  Also, spaghetti is OK too. But don't expect they will taste like real Italian or American pizzas.

Inside of Dono Dono.  There are delivery pizzas as well but they are more expensive and bigger.  I would rather dine here.

If you want a chunk of beef stake, you want to go to the "Flying Garden," a stake house.  You will not get a real beef stake but they use ground beef for hamburger stake.  Prices range from 500~1500 yen depending on what you order.  You can also get a grilled chicken here.  There are two in Tsukuba; one near K's Tenki(electrics) near La-La Garden(a shopping mall) and one at the corner of Nishi(west)-O-do-ri(Avenue) and 4 lane street that crosses the campus.  There is a Pachinko(a slot machine place) nearby called Jan-Jan.

My favorite is 400g beef stake which comes with a loaf of bread or rice(rice is refillable; O-ka-wa-ri), salad and a ice water. For this menu, you have to order a soup separately. 1280Yen.

I am a meat eater, a good one but 400g was enough for me.  You get 3 kinds of sauce; sweat soy sauce, soy sauce with garlic, and a sauce with ground onions.
